TIS – Environmental FirstSearch Due Diligence Information

Our History

Track Info Services (TIS) and the Environmental FirstSearch Network was established in the 1990s to provide environmental professionals and others with accurate, complete, and current environmental information for environmental due-diligence on real estate. Our goal was to provide an array of report based information products that may be obtained quickly and cost-effectively with useful information on properties and their surrounding areas.

Because environmental regulations and concerns within the US often vary by region and state, the Environmental FirstSearch Network was created to address that diversity. We created a national source for environmental information made up of regional and local information providers, all distributing their information through one on-line network to collectively provide national coverage with regional focus and service.

Each partner of the network is responsible for collecting various databases from federal, state and local environmental agencies in its region. They then map the sites in those databases using GIS technology, local research, or any other means to accurately plot site locations. Altogether the data is combined into a centralized database only accessible through the Environmental FirstSearch. The end result is a seamless, standardized database that can generate a wide array of information reports for anywhere in the US, complimented by a host of historical research services.

Track Info Services (TIS), headquartered in Glendale, CA is the western regional partner of the national Environmental FirstSearch Network. TIS manages all data and customer relations on behalf of the network for all of the Western US states.

The Principals of Track Info Services and the other partner companies of the Environmental FirstSearch Network have a strong background in information services. They each have over twenty years experience in the environmental and information industries providing solutions for sound decision making through the use of information products, computer mapping, online and Internet delivery systems. Most of them were formerly part of the senior management team for VISTA Information, a pioneering national company for environmental information that established related products for the lending industry and continue to stay actively involved in their industry today.
